In order to enter Cambodia by land from Laos or Thailand, certain documents are required in addition to your passport and visa (if required). You have to possess the following documents:
1.   Vehicle Identification/registration documents, ATA Carnet or equivalent document (except for bikes);
2.  Driving license and International Driving Permit;
3.  Relevant documents from the last border checkpoint;
4.  Passport with at-least-6-month validity or equivalent document; and
5.  Visa (Visa on arrival is available upon request). There are Visa exemptions for some passport holders. 
 

What to do:
1.  Customs requirements: You need to complete a “Customs Declaration Form” to be permitted to temporarily bring your own vehicle into Cambodia for your travel. The form can be made by online prior to departure to Cambodia at: www.customs.gov.kh => Temporary Vehicle. Otherwise, you need to make it at the border checkpoint by attaching a copy of the above required documents.
 

2.  Immigration requirements: You need to complete an Arrival Card attaching your valid passport for immigration police checks.

* For Cambodia-Laos land border, you may cross this checkpoint: Trapaeng Kreal (Stung Treng of Cambodia) – Nong Nok Khiene (Champasak of Laos).

* For Cambodia-Thailand land border, if your base/destination is Bangkok, we recommend you this checkpoint: Poi Pet (Banteay Meanchey of Cambodia) – Khlong Luk (Sa Kaeo of Thailand).
